And thus, to avoid feeling that way, i distract myself with something else.
Be it food, movies, games, chores,..whatever it is that helps me forget that feeling..sometimes when i do that, i am reminded of Bree from Desperate Housewives.
When Bree is unhappy, she avoid feeling that way by concentrating on being the perfect housewife..the more unhappy she feels, the more particular she becomes -> she would want her work to be flawless..the house will be perfectly clean & tidy, the food will be superb, the glass & dishes would be shiny..i can totally relate to that..she avoids feeling that way by making herself busy & targeting the best which requires her to put a lot of effort or thinking or activity..see, when she do things correctly, with hard work, she would get a result as she expected & she feels like she has accomplished something & that makes her happy..this way not only she could get herself busy & stop thinking about things that makes her unhappy, she also get to feel happy because the thing that she works on actually yields good results..
However, the bad thing about this is when she do that, she feels so comfortable that she continues to do it all the way through her marriage..she tried so hard not to feel any pain to the point that she doesn't really react anymore..she doesn't show her sad feelings..although its killing her inside, she will only cry when she is alone & only when she is extremely upset..she will always channel her feeling towards the house chores..it comes to a point that her husband feels annoyed & her children think that she is heartless when she doesn't show her true feelings..scary huh..she is trying to be strong..anyway after her husband died & when another man comes along, she opens up to the new guy & let her wild side & feelings out..somehow the guy knows how to make her feel comfortable & gain her trust..
Partner play some role in helping out woman..because somehow whatever men do will reflect upon what woman do & what she feels..one of the lesson i got from Bree is don't try to be too perfect by controlling all the bad emotions..after all, we are only humans..bad feelings needs to be sorted & not to be kept..when your man do something wrong or bad, let the feelings go..keeping it will only eats you from inside, your feelings for your partner will die slowly due to unresolved issues..this is very bad for relationship..partners needs to be ready to face each other..although you may quarrel, at least the relationship is honest & you will love each other even more after that..you will know each other better & the love you share will be more appreciated..
It is still okay to keep some feelings to yourself..just dont over-do it :) you'll be like a robot because robot don't feel sadness or pain..
There is also a chance that you might go crazy keeping all emotions to yourself!!
